Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar1 In 2014, Governor Jerry Brown appointed Justice Cuéllar to the California Supreme Court. As a Justice, he leads the Strategic Plan for Language Access in California Courts (“Language Access Plan”), whose mission is to increase access to courts for non-English speaking individuals. J.D. Yale Law School; M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from Stanford; B.A. Harvard College
